Competition and Antitrust

The Firm’s Competition & Antitrust Team is well-versed in representing clients in investigations and litigation proceedings before various regulatory bodies, including the Competition Commission of India (CCI), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. Our team also advises and assists clients located in and outside India in merger filings before the CCI.

Regarding cartels, we handle all aspects of cartel investigation and litigation, from defending against complaints to representing clients before the regulator, preparing leniency petitions and collating information. With our expertise in Competition law and strong litigation practice, we also handle the fallout of such investigations, including appeals and jurisdictional remedies before regulatory bodies. Some of our clients have even sought our assistance in identifying and preparing complaints against potential cartel scenarios.

In the area of monopolies and dominant positions, our team has defended and initiated investigations before the CCI, prepared market analysis and reviewed contracts and practices that may impact the relevant market. We were also involved in filing some of the first few leniency applications before the CCI. Additionally, our competition team assists with transactions by making combination filings and conducting competition assessments.
